I never really wanted to be a hairdresser. I always thought I'd go into law enforcement or become a lawyer to help people. At 15 I fell in love with Steel Center's Cosmetology program as soon as I walked into the class room. Upon my tour of the school I had to choose 3 departments to be sure my choice was what I really wanted. I toured Human Protective Services, Cosmetology & Nursing.

The artistry is what drew me to Cosmetology. Watching students create something out of nothing with the help of an iron, spray and of course a few pins was fascinating to me. Cliché to say I always styled my Barbie's hair. Taking her hair out of the style, teaching myself step-by-step on how to recreate it was a daily activity.

Fast forward today I'm a hairdresser who loves color. Especially natural looking hair color and low-maintenance blondes. I really geek out over chemistry of hair color and I'm really good at problem solving hair issues. I know a lot of the right questions to ask to understand how to get your to your hair goal. Being told that I'm detailed while really caring for the people in my chair is pretty common for me to hear.

When I'm not in the salon I'm a mom who volunteers for local organizations and schools. Art museums (particularly The Mattress Factory), coffee shops are where I to chill out at. We have two cats named Sidney & Selena. Yes, she is named after Selena Quintanilla because I love music. I probably attend 4-5 concerts a year. Last fall I finally saw Lana Del Rey.

Continued education is very important to me. Because it's import for you to have stylist who cares about your hair. I've travel to NYC, Richmond and other states for class that's how dedicated I am to helping your achieve your hair goals.

I believe hair should look soft and natural. Never over done with high maintenance. There is something so exotic about natural looking hair color. I don't want you to look like everyone else. I want you to be the best looking version of you.
